 Residential Polished Concrete

Polished concrete has moved beyond industrial settings and is increasingly popular in residential homes, especially for those seeking a modern, minimalist, or industrial-chic aesthetic. It involves a mechanical grinding and polishing process that transforms an ordinary concrete slab into a smooth, high-gloss, and exceptionally durable floor.

When looking to polish a floor, we work with you to determine what kind of finish you would like your floor to have.  The amount of aggregate exposure and the finish level will offer very different looks.

Aggregate Exposure

  • Cream Polish - lighter, softer look, fine finish, even texture

  • Salt & Pepper - more aggregate exposed, medium amount of visible texture

  • Course Aggregate - bold, high aggregate exposure, high amount of visible texture

  •

Finish Level

  • Flat - low sheen, matte finish, no reflection

  • Satin - more of a honed look, with a low satin level of reflection

  • Polished - noticeable shine, more reflective

  • Highly Polished - high shine level, very reflective

Beyond the aggregate exposure and finish level, you can also choose to stain the concrete or add scoring to create patterns or borders throughout the floor.  These options can help you to fully personalize your floor.
