  Polished Concrete

Polished concrete is a very popular option for both commercial and residential spaces.  It offers a durable, sleek, and modern look to your residential spaces and is also great for the high-wear, functionality, and flexibility needed in commercial spaces.

When looking to polish a floor, we work with you to determine what kind of finish you would like your floor to have.  The amount of aggregate exposure and the finish level will offer very different looks.

Aggregate Exposure

  • Cream Polish - lighter, softer look, fine finish, even texture

  • Salt & Pepper - more aggregate exposed, medium amount of visible texture

  • Course Aggregate - bold, high aggregate exposure, high amount of visible texture

Finish Level

  • Flat - low sheen, matte finish, no reflection

  • Satin - more of a honed look, with a low satin level of reflection

  • Polished - noticeable shine, more reflective

  • Highly Polished - high shine level, very reflective

If you are wanting to polish an existing concrete floor, make sure to look at areas that have flaws, like cracks, stains, discolorations.  Polishing will not cover or hide them, so an imperfect floor is great when you are going for that ‘perfectly imperfect’ look.  If a more refined and uniform look is your goal, we can show you some coatings options that can have a polished look and might be closer to what you are looking for.

If you will be polishing a newly poured concrete floor, make sure to reach out before the slab is poured and we can give you proper specifications to make sure your final polished product is going to be just what you wanted.

We are members of the Concrete Polishing Council through the American Society of Concrete Contractors and follow their guidelines and terms to create uniform polishing standards in our business.
