 Concrete Sealing & Staining

Sealed concrete is an excellent solution for large warehouses and shops wanting to add a little bit of protection and easier maintenance. This process uses a protective barrier to protect your concrete slab from damage, enhance its longevity and even improve appearance. For added aesthetic appeal, a stain can be applied to customize your floor even further.

  • Protection from Wear and Tear: Concrete, while durable, is porous and susceptible to damage from heavy traffic, machinery, impacts, and abrasion. A sealer creates a protective layer that significantly increases the floor's resistance to these stressors, extending its lifespan.

  • Stain Resistance: Warehouses and shops often deal with spills of oils, chemicals, greases, and other substances. Sealed concrete is much less likely to absorb these materials, preventing unsightly and potentially damaging stains.

  • Easier Cleaning and Maintenance: Unsealed concrete can trap dirt, dust, and grime in its pores, making cleaning a labor-intensive process. A smooth, sealed surface is much easier to sweep, mop, or scrub, reducing cleaning time and costs. This is particularly beneficial in environments where cleanliness is crucial for health, safety, or product integrity.

  • Improved Appearance: Sealing on its own  can enhance the look of concrete, giving it a polished or uniform finish. Some sealers can also deepen the color of the concrete or provide a decorative sheen.  To further change the color of your concrete, many options of stains are available.

  • Dust Reduction: Unsealed concrete can release fine dust particles, which can be problematic for air quality, machinery, and stored goods. Sealing significantly reduces concrete dusting.

  • Moisture Protection: While not a complete moisture barrier in all cases, sealers can help prevent moisture penetration, which can lead to issues like mildew growth or efflorescence.

  • Chemical Resistance: Many industrial environments involve the use of various chemicals. Specific types of sealers can be chosen to provide enhanced resistance to chemical spills, protecting the concrete from erosion or degradation.

  • Safety (with appropriate sealers): Some sealers can be formulated with anti-slip additives, which can improve traction and reduce the risk of slips and falls, especially in areas prone to spills or moisture.
